As an artist-run centre, Third Space takes direction from its members. Members can sit on committees and be involved in a variety of aspects of running the organization: designing posters, brochures, websites and catalogues; installing and striking visual arts exhibitions; researching and writing grants; seeking sponsorships; building networks and connections with other artists and centres across the country; fundraising, volunteer coordination and much, much more.
Membership benefits will vary each year depending on the programming schedule and our current collaborative partners, but we usually have a few Members’ Shows and Member events that you will be invited to take part in every year. We conduct Member Surveys to get input on our programming throughout the year, and speaking of programming, members are also entitled to a 10% discount on Third Space workshops and events! Each member gets one vote at the Annual General Meeting which takes place in November every year. Our members are often artists, but we welcome all supporters to join!
Members are expected to adhere to the Third Space Code of Conduct.
