Waterfall-Kim Morgan, David Clark, Rachelle Vaider Knowles, David Ogborn
November 19 to December 17, 2010.
Waterfall is an interactive sculpture by Kim Morgan, David Clark, Rachelle Vaider Knowles and David Ogborn. It resembles a vending machine. The theme of the piece is water and its use in our contemporary world. New media creates an interactive experience for the viewer who is able to control the video using the keypad on the outside of the machine. The piece involves video that is triggered by the audience and sound that accompanies the video and the buttons as they are pushed. The machine does not take money and is free to use. Waterfall is a commission from the Canadian Wildlife Foundation for the Cultural Olympiad, Whistler, 2010.
The only artist-run centre for contemporary art in Saint John, Galerie Tiers-espace / Third Space Gallery is an interdisciplinary exhibition, performance and production space committed to representing local, regional and national professional contemporary artists.
